Writings And Such

Welcome to the "Writings And Such" page of my outfit blog, Butane Anvil. Surprise! All of the outfits and shoes are under the "Home" tab, with literary / arts updates to be added here from time to time, as good news allows.

Where applicable, I have indicated how to access the works below. If a purchase is involved, please know that I receive no proceeds such as royalties or through affiliate linking etc. I am happy to add a personalized dedication note and / or sign those publications which are available through the Norfolk Arts Centre — let them know if you'd like that when you order, though be aware this request can delay shipping by a week or so.

Thanks, and enjoy!

cover art: for Steel, Sean. (June 2014). The Pursuit of Wisdom and Happiness in Education. SUNY Press. When his dissertation was accepted for publication, my friend of almost 30 years invited me to submit artwork for consideration. The egg chosen by SUNY Press for Sean's book cover (and the cover of their Spring 2014 catalogue) was laid by my hen Starr and shows the hazel tree, Celtic "source of all poetic wisdom."

See my discussion of symbolism with Sean alongside photos of all nine Wisdom Eggs I decorated using traditional and modern Ukrainian pysanky methods; brief (1:27) accidental and comical egg / chicken photoshoot video here.
